The Challenge

The first wave of electric mobility in Africa has highlighted huge potential as well as significant hurdles for scalable adoption. Electric 2W and 3W vehicles have been proven to save money and reduce emissions, but have so far primarily targeted urban b:c customers. Rural customers (inc. farms, outgrowers, mini-grid) have vastly different requirements than urban moto taxis.

Identifying and confronting these gaps in business model, utility, reliability, repairability, data insights and fleet management, SONGA Mobility has successfully pioneered an integrated rural eMobility platform for our own use which we are now making available to partner organizations.
