Welcome to https://www.eisnetwork.co/ (the "Site"), operated by EXA Innovation Studio ("EIS," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
These Terms also apply to your registration for, and participation in, the online webinars, seminars, and related events we host (collectively, “Events”).
1. About the Site
EIS is a global business-building and innovation studio with offices in Los Angeles (USA), Paris (France), Nairobi (Kenya), and Tokyo (Japan). The Site provides information about EIS, its ventures, services, and team, and allows visitors to contact us.
The Site does not currently offer products or services for sale. Any e-commerce or "cart" functionality visible on the Site is a default platform feature and is not active or in use.
2. Use of the Site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of, the Site by any third party. Prohibited uses include, without limitation:
Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its related systems
Introducing viruses, malware, or other harmful code
Using automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Site without our permission
Impersonating any person or entity, or misrepresenting your affiliation with EIS
Submitting false, misleading, or unlawful content through the Contact form
Submitting false or misleading information through an Event registration form
3. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, videos, and the overall design — is the property of EIS or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may view and print content from the Site for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publicly display, or create derivative works from any content on the Site without our prior written consent.
Company names, logos, and venture names referenced on the Site (including EIS's ventures) may be trademarks of their respective owners.
4. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites (including venture or partner websites and social media platforms such as LinkedIn) that are not owned or controlled by EIS. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of use of any third-party sites. Accessing such links is at your own risk.
Registration for, and delivery of, our Events may rely on services provided by third parties. Your use of those services is governed by the terms and privacy policies of the relevant provider.
5. No Professional Advice
Content on the Site is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, financial, investment, or professional advice. You should seek independent professional advice before making decisions based on information found on the Site.
Information presented during an Event is likewise provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy of content. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
We do not guarantee that an Event will take place without interruption or that it will be free from technical or connectivity issues. We may reschedule or cancel an Event.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, EIS and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site.
The foregoing applies equally to damages arising from or related to your participation in, or inability to participate in, an Event. Nothing in this section limits our liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence, or to the extent such limitation is not permitted by applicable law.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EIS, its affiliates, and their respective officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Site, and your registration for and participation in our Events, are also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and handle personal information.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by, and interpreted in accordance with:
The laws of France, for matters relating to our Paris office and EU-based users, and
The laws of the State of California, USA, for matters relating to our Los Angeles office and US-based users,
The laws of Japan, for matters relating to users based in Japan
without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Paris, France, or of California, USA, depending on the applicable law, as determined by the parties' respective locations.
For disputes involving users based in Japan, the Tokyo District Court shall have jurisdiction as the court of first instance. Where you use the Site or attend an Event as a consumer, nothing in this section limits any rights available to you under the mandatory law of your place of residence.
