EIS launches new social businesses in East Africa
March 22, 2021
EIS has been working in Sub Saharan Africa (Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Zimbabwe) since 2019 to develop smart, social businesses leveraging data and innovative technologies. The team gathered to celebrate the successful launch of a new Mobility as a Service and first-mile aggregation service to support local agro-processing SME’s.
Alongside local public and private stakeholders, EIS’ activities leverage data, ICT, and off-grid clean energy to promote entrepreneurship and improve livelihoods in rural African communities. Launching new services during the COVID pandemic is not easy, but the EIS team is embedded within the community and is continuously pushing forward.
